St Breward Silver Band hails from the village of St Breward, on the edge of Bodmin Moor, close to the summit of Cornwalls, Roughtor and Brown Willy. 

Founded in 1899 the band has become established as a force to be reckoned with in the contesting fields having qualified to appear in the National Finals of several occasions, the latest being at Harrogate in 2007,  where they were placed fourth.

The band is well known in the area for its support of community events, and can be seen every Thuresday throughout June July and August, playing on the Platt at Port Isaac for the summer visitors,  something they have done every summer since 1960.
